Last week, ECICOG hosted a pre-construction meeting for The Ridge at Indian Creek 2nd Addition, a new disaster recovery housing project being built by ABODE COMPANIES INC in the City of Marion, with CDBG-DR funding made available through the Iowa Economic Development Authority. Through this grant, Abode will build 20 new duplex homes with up to $35,000 in down payment assistance available to income-qualified buyers. It Is with great sadness that we share In the loss of our Friend and long-time Teammate, Sheila King. Our loving thoughts and prayers go out, especially to her Family & closest Friends. Sheila was an amazing person and beautiful soul. Her life was one of faith, love and dedication and she was a true Inspiration to all those fortunate to have known her. The Abode Family will miss her dearly.❤️

Sheila King, 57, of Marion, Iowa passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, after a courageous 4+ year battle with stage IV colon cancer. She was a warrior with a golden heart whose determination, optimism, and faith inspired many throughout her fight. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 16th....
