Entry Level Drafter / Project Manager

Advanced Cabinet Systems is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry Level Drafter / Project Manager to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with foundational drafting experience who is ready to begin a career in commercial architectural millwork and casework.
You don't need years of experience—we're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. If you've completed drafting classes in high school, vocational school, or college and enjoy solving problems, working with construction drawings, and seeing projects come to life, we'd love to meet you.
You will work directly under the guidance of our Senior Project Manager, receiving hands-on training while developing the technical and project management skills needed for a long-term career.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing shop drawings for commercial millwork and cabinetry projects.
Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and design documents.
Learn industry standards, AWI requirements, and company drafting procedures.
Support the Senior Project Manager with project coordination and documentation.
Communicate with customers, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal production staff.
Prepare submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
Track project schedules, deadlines, and material requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and installation teams.
Participate in project meetings and help resolve technical issues.
Continuously develop drafting, estimating, and project management skills.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous drafting experience required (high school drafting classes, vocational training, technical school, or college coursework accepted).
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework in drafting, CAD, engineering, architecture, construction technology, or a related field.
Experience with AutoCAD, Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar drafting software.
Knowledge of commercial construction or woodworking is a plus, but not required.
