This updated identity reflects that evolution—building on our history while representing the scale and diversity of our work today.

🚧Big things are happening at John A. Logan College! We’ve officially broken ground on the West Lobby and Logan Hall renovation and expansion. Last night’s kickoff event marked the start of an exciting new construction phase—and we couldn’t be more thrilled! The new lobby will introduce a modern, welcoming space for students, visitors, and staff. Stay tuned… the best is yet to come!

NOW UNDERWAY: John A. Logan College held a ceremonial kickoff Tuesday evening for its West Lobby and Logan Hall expansion, a project that will reshape the campus’s main entrance and add more than 6,000 square feet of new space.

The $6 million project, designed by BHDG Architects and built by Fager-McGee, will introduce a modern lobby, updated offices, a new welcome area, and expanded community and event space. Although construction wasn’t set to begin until 2026, work was moved up after the contractor had an opening and state officials approved an accelerated timeline.

Demolition began November 17, and the project is expected to be completed in May 2027. During construction, the West Lobby entrance is closed, and beginning December 15, the lobby will also close. Gym access will remain available through the North Entrance.

College President Dr. Kirk Overstreet said the upgrades will improve access, student experience, and community connection, noting that while campus navigation will temporarily change, the long-term improvements will be well worth it.
