🏡 ☀️ Thinking about adding solar panels to your roof? Read this first!

Solar can be a great option, and this is NOT a warning. But it's about more than a lower electric bill.

Your roof and home structure matter too.

Before you sign, ask your installer:
🔹 Has an engineer confirmed my roof can carry the added weight?
🔹 Who's responsible for flashing and sealing every roof pe*******on?
🔹 Will you pull a permit and pass inspection?
🔹 How does this affect my roof and builder warranties?
🔹 What's the cost to remove and reinstall panels when I re-roof?

A reputable installer will be happy to answer all of these. Review your contract and know what you're agreeing to before you sign.

♥️ As homeowners' needs grow, we're doing our best to keep up with the ever-changing world of home building. We put together a free FYI guide with code references.

Message us if you'd like a copy!

*Yellow Door Builders does not specialize in solar installation. This post is general information, not professional advice. Please consult a licensed solar installer, structural engineer, or other qualified professional before modifying your home.*
