We have been out servicing pools in West Memphis this morning. Due to the water issues many are low on water. Depending on the pool, we used different solutions to overcome the low water issues. If you have a main drain and a valve to turn your skimmer off you can run your pool water through only the main drain to keep the pool running and filtering. If not then depending on the pool there may be some other things you can do for at least a portion of the day to get your water turn over and keep chemicals balanced. If you need assistance or have questions please message 870-733-1937 and I will do my best to help you. I have talked with someone who is in touch with the city and they should have test results back this afternoon concerning water safety. Once they have those we will know if we need to do anything different chemically.

Show me your pool pictures. I’ve still had a lot of texts and calls asking if water should be drained down some. My opinion is still no. Taking water out lets water from the ground behind the liner in a liner pool and lets more behind a gunite or fiberglass pool. I’m posting pics of both of my pools that have had no water drained since before the storms started. Also more pics in comments.

As I’m sure everyone is aware we have the possibility of some crazy storms and rain the next few days. Here are a few tips that may help.
1. Don’t lower your water unless you have a pool that water from inside the pool can go behind the liner (most liner pools this doesn’t happen). The more water in the pool the less likely ground water can push under the pool. The top water keeps it heavy. That also applies to fiberglass and gunite pools.
2. Move umbrellas, lawn furniture, etc away from the pool area so that it won’t scoot or fly into the pool.
3. Try to keep your skimmers emptied because even pools without trees in the yard will have leaves and debris blowing in.

It’s almost swim time. With the new tariffs being put into place vinyl liners will have a price increase sometime the end of March or beginning of April depending on the liner company. Now is the time to order your liner so it will be ready to be put in as soon as we get past this rainy chilly weather. Call or text 870-733-1937 to schedule your liner estimates as soon as possible to get them ordered before the prices change. Looking forward to a wonderful summer with all of you this year!

Most of the pools that cover are put to sleep for winter. The rest are still going and will until the warm weather decides to go away. We work all year so if you have a need text or call (texts typically get answered more quickly and we can set a time if a call is needed). 870-733-1937.
