Georgia is home to irradically sloped land with builders constructing properties in questionable areas. This home owner desperately needed to not only create a usable front yard but also save the supporting structure of the front of his home & deck. In order to prevent further erosion a well constructed retention wall was required to grade the steep slope. In partnership with Georgia Landscaping and Hardscaping LLC we were able to combine over 35 years of experience which is exactly what this customer needed to have peace of mind about their property.

We constructed a 100' long, Rock Blend Keystone Block retaining wall with multiple drainage fascits to make sure this wall lasts a lifetime! Then clearing out all the overgrown vegetation, adding lots of clean fill material to grade & finishing the project off with my favorite thin blade Geo Zoysia. We had a worry free collaboration with this amazing customer who we are grateful to have add to our 5 star review rating.

Reach out if your property is having similar needs & we always take our time to educate our customers through every step of the process, no matter the size of their project!

Easier said than done for this 6k sq.ft. lawn. We incorporated a 2 zone irrigation system, ground several large stumps, removed all that undesirable vegetation & brought in a quality, wide blade Zenith Zoysia. A simple, surface water drain system was needed & finished off with some matching fieldstone boulders & edging.

We take pride in keeping our customers comfortable & educated on our processes, while providing an all inclusive experience. We utilized 2 local, small businesses to assist with the irrigation & stump removal. We have to make a mess and then begin to clean it up as with any of our installs, everything starts from the ground up. See first hand how worry free your project could be by giving us a call!

Embrace the Kaleidoscope of Colors with Coleus X Hybridus (Coleus)!

Add vibrant hues to your landscape with the mesmerizing Coleus X Hybridus, commonly known as Coleus! These annuals are a visual treat. Learn when, where, & how to plant these living masterpieces.

📆Spring is the best time to plant after the last frost has passed & temps are consistently above 60°F (15°C). They thrive in warm weather, so plant them when the conditions are just right.

🏡Coleus is highly adaptable & can thrive in various settings, preferring partial shade to full shade. Find a spot that receives bright, indirect light, away from scorching afternoon sun.

🌱Planting Coleus is an absolute breeze! Here are steps to ensure they thrive in your landscape:

1️⃣Soil Prep: Coleus plants enjoy well-draining, fertile soil. Before planting, enrich the soil with compost to ensure they get the nutrients they need.

2️⃣Propagation: You can plant Coleus from seeds or cuttings. If using seeds, sow them in well-draining soil, and lightly cover them with a thin layer of soil. For cuttings, snip a healthy stem, remove lower leaves, & place in a container with water or moist soil until roots develop.

3️⃣If sowing from seeds, keep the soil consistently moist until germination, which usually takes 1-2 weeks. Once established, transplant into a permanent location with adequate spacing (12-18ins apart).

4️⃣If using cuttings, wait until they develop healthy roots before transplanting into their final spot.

5️⃣Keep soil evenly moist. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Coleus prefers a consistent moisture level, so check the soil regularly & water as needed.

6️⃣To boost bushier growth & maintain the plant's shape, pinch off growing tips regularly. Feel free to prune them to maintain size & form.

🎨Be mesmerized by the kaleidoscope of colors Coleus offers! With striking patterns & combos of vibrant shades, they are a showstopper!

Coleus can thrive both indoors and outdoors, making them a wonderful addition to your patio, balcony, or even as stunning houseplants.

Embrace the Enchanting Beauty of Cleome Hassleriana (Spider Flower) in Your Landscape! 🌸🕷️

Boost your landscape with a captivating & unique addition the Cleome Hassleriana, AKA the Spider Flower! Fascinating appearance & abundant blooms, this annual is sure to steal the spotlight.

📆The ideal time to plant Cleome Hassleriana is in late spring/early summer when the threat of frost has passed. These hardy annuals love warm temps & flourish in full sun, plan accordingly for the best results.

🏡Spider Flowers are versatile & can thrive in various settings. Preferring a sunny location, so find a spot in that receives at least 6-8hrs of direct sun. They also prefer well-draining soil, making them perfect for garden beds, borders, and containers.

🌱Planting Cleome Hassleriana is fun and easy! Here's a simple guide to ensure they bloom gloriously:

1️⃣Soil Prep: Prep the area by loosening the soil & removing any weeds or debris. These hardy plants are relatively tolerant of different soil types, performing best in well-draining, fertile soil.

2️⃣Sowing Seeds: You can sow Cleome seeds directly into the soil. Scatter the seeds evenly over the soil surface and gently press them down. Avoid burying the seeds too deep, they need light to germinate.

3️⃣Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist during the germination period, usually 7-14 days. Once the seedlings emerge, water them regularly, allowing the soil to dry slightly between watering sessions.

4️⃣Thin Seedlings: As the seedlings grow, thin them out, leaving about 12-18in of space between each to ensure adequate airflow & healthy growth.

5️⃣Provide Support: Spider Flowers can grow quite tall, so consider staking or providing some support to keep them upright as they mature.

Cleome Hassleriana will show off their showy, spidery blooms in shades of pink, white, and lavender! As they bloom throughout the summer, attracting butterflies & hummingbirds, adding life & color! 🦋

🕷️Spider Flowers are relatively low-maintenance & resilient to pests and diseases, making them a perfect choice for gardeners of all experience levels.

🍂 Fall Garden Prep: Mastering Drainage for a Flourishing Season! 🌧️

As autumn's embrace draws near, it's time to gear up for a season of change. One crucial aspect to consider is drainage – the unsung hero of a thriving fall garden. Let's dive into some tips to ensure your garden stays happy and healthy even when the rains come pouring down!

🍁 Embrace the Water Flow: With the arrival of fall, rain showers become frequent visitors. Proper drainage is your ticket to prevent waterlogged soil, root rot, and other water-related woes. Ensure that your garden beds and containers have adequate drainage holes to allow excess water to escape, keeping your plants cozy and comfortable.

🍂 Mulch Magic: Mulching isn't just for aesthetics; it's a drainage champion! Spread a layer of organic mulch around your plants to regulate soil temperature and moisture, while also preventing erosion. This protective blanket helps water seep into the soil gradually, avoiding sudden floods and giving your plants a steady sip of hydration.

🍁 Rainwater Revival: Fall is the perfect time to harness the power of rainwater! Consider setting up a rain barrel to collect and store rainwater. Not only does this eco-friendly practice conserve water, but it also provides a ready-to-use water source for your garden during drier spells.

🍂 Plan for Puddles: Take a stroll around your garden after a rainfall and identify areas where water tends to accumulate. Strategically place rocks, create gentle slopes, or install French drains to redirect excess water away from plants and into designated drainage paths. Your landscape will thank you for preventing soggy situations!
