Reclaimed Karma

Reclaimed Karma Husband + Wife boutique Design+Build firm that specializes in Residential & Commercial renovations.

Chris and I are the owners of Reclaimed Karma, a boutique design + build firm based out of Marietta, Georgia. We pride ourselves on being a husband and wife team that specializes in kitchen and bath renovations, light commercial renovations, custom woodworking, interior design and residential/commercial project management. A few years back, we were given a huge opportunity to film a nationwide TV

show with the DIY Network called “Reclaimed Reno”. Since then, we have also had the opportunity to partner with companies such as Habitat for Humanity, Home Depot, Varathane, Extra Space Storage and Weaber Lumber just to name a few. When we aren’t in the field creating and renovating, you can catch us across social media DIYing in our workshop and documenting our lives every step of the way. Chris and I are firm believers in good karma and we knew it had to be included in our name. We always strive to do right by people because we believe what goes around comes around. We are so thankful to be able to love what we do and do what we love together.

This is not an AD. In the remodel game schedules and budgets are tight. One issue in the process could throw the entire project off. For us the drywalling process always seems to take the longest, cause overages, schedule delays and it’s by far the messiest, dustiest part of any job. So with that said we’re trying a new product that claims it can cut that process in half and with little to no sanding at all and still produce a level 5 finish. We’re about to put it to the test.… Stay tuned as we give an honest opinion on this product that you add to the drywall compound called Muddskip and our results. Is it really worth the price because it saves us time and money? I sure hope so because if not it’s gonna be a problem for OG GC Big Chris. Let me know if you get the movie reference or am I just showing my youthfulness!!!

In all seriousness what separates us from most contractors are three things.

1. Our projects are driven by systems
We create a plan for every project and work the plan. All details are determined in Pre-Construction and then we execute in construction. That takes 90% of the stress out of the construction phase because we know every detail before the first hammer is ever swung.

2. Trade Relationships
Any construction team is only as good as their trade partners. We’ve worked with most of our trades men and women for over 8 -10 years. We’ve grown together and we keep raising the bar on our standards. We work with specialists in their crafts not one guy that can “Do everything”.

3. Communication and documentation beats conversation
We truly believe that our word is our bond and therefore we document everything and communicate the good and the bad daily. Every week we send our clients a project update which is a detailed report with pictures and information pertaining project task, scheduling and most important financials. We pride ourselves on ensuring our clients are never in the dark.

Our goal is to ensure the process of construction is just as enjoyable as the end result. We hear from so many clients that their “OK” with how the project eventually turned out but the process to get there was a nightmare. We want our clients to have a stress free journey and to be in love with their new space.

Shout out to the guys at for rocking with a man. Song by

Y’all be eating them Dollar Tree steaks huh?… In all seriousness we love our clients and make it a point to accommodate their questions and concerns. That’s why we don’t rush into construction and everything starts with our customer management program

Phase 1: Pre-Construction
- Construction documents
- Design selections
- Itemized estimate
- Project calendar

Phase 2: Construction
- Budget tracking
- Change orders
- Daily Logs
- Client updates

All of this is made easy with Buildertrend and gives us an edge over other companies who don’t value systems and processes.

It’s Good Friday in the A twin!!! What’s hatnin?

We’re wrapping up a kitchen project and I’m coordinating with one of my trade partners for punch out. He still hasn’t replied. 🤔😂

Our clientele is pretty diverse but recently we’ve been serving clients who are focused on aging in place. The task has been to setup the needed accommodations to help them transition into the next phase of their life without it being sterile and capture their mature sense of style with some modern touches. Aging in place doesn’t have to be drab. It should be celebrated!!!

The Modern Cottage project is in full swing. We’re installing from and they have the cottage looking elevated already. We chose the Lifestyle series because we wanted to keep the traditional wood look but have the protection of metal cladding on the exterior so that these windows last even longer than the original windows. We upgraded for girds on the outside and love that our inside is unfinished so we can paint or stain them to any color of our choice to match our interior design. We went with three types of windows: Casements, Awning and double hung. We’ll share another post diving deeper into this later. Now that Windows are in, what do you think we’ll be doing next?

After 56 years, it’s finally time… these windows are getting replaced. 🙌🏽

And trust me when I say… they look every bit of their age.

Since the day we moved into this house I’ve either been too cold or too hot. Energy efficiency? Nonexistent. Drafts? Everywhere. And I honestly can’t count the number of times a window sales rep has “just happened” to stop by our door. 😅

Well the time has finally come!

This is the next step in modernizing our home, and we’re so excited to start this part of the process.

Stay tuned! We’ll be sharing:
• What windows we chose
• Why we chose them
• The features we were looking for

If you’ve been thinking about replacing your windows… you’ll definitely want to follow along.

Let’s Frickin Gooooo!!!!!

Wait what!?! There’s pre-finished siding with no touch up needed! At Reclaimed Karma we only use the best materials in our projects. We got a chance to talk shop with this year at IBS. This is just scratching the surface of why we’re so excited to partner with them and help bring this product to the Georgia market!

Customized spaces is what we love to curate. We’re inspired by projects that enhance the life of our clients like this spa retreat. Every single detail in this project was intentionally crafted for the desires of our client. From the custom fabricated concrete foot spa in the oversized shower to linen closet made into a premium cedar sauna no detail was left spared. Reclaimed Karma projects are where dreams come true.
