Short version: Google AI is now calling businesses to get quotes for potential customers, while other AI platforms are recommending businesses directly to users. Your potential customers are increasingly letting AI do the searching for them. If your business is not prepared to be found, understood, and reached by these systems, you may be left out. We are solving this for our business members so you do not have to spend thousands figuring it out on your own. We are providing it at no additional cost to our current business members because we care about your entire business and not just the 300+ you serve for DLM.

THE WAY CUSTOMERS FIND LOCAL BUSINESSES IS CHANGING
Most local businesses have no idea this is already happening.
Google can now use AI to help a customer find a service provider, check pricing and availability, and even call local businesses on the customer’s behalf to gather quotes.
A customer looking for an electrician, landscaper, plumber, cleaner, HVAC company, auto repair shop, or other service may increasingly have AI doing the research for them.
And Google is not the only change.
Consumers are now asking ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI systems questions like:
“Find me a plumber near me.”
“Who can repair my AC today?”
“Find a landscaper available this afternoon.”
“Which company can do this job within my budget?”
That creates an entirely new question for every local business:
IS YOUR BUSINESS READY TO BE FOUND BY AI?
Traditional SEO is no longer the entire conversation.
Businesses now need to think about whether AI systems can:
✅ Find the business online
✅ Understand exactly what services it provides
✅ Understand the areas it serves
✅ Access accurate contact information
✅ Determine whether the business is available today
✅ Understand pricing or pricing ranges when available
✅ Access the business website and public profile
✅ Identify the correct phone number
✅ Reach someone when an AI system calls
✅ Read business information in a format AI systems can easily understand
Most small businesses do not have the time, technical knowledge, or resources to figure all of this out.
That is where DealMate is stepping in.
We are actively building the AI visibility infrastructure for businesses in the DealMate Business Community.
Instead of requiring thousands of individual businesses to research Google AI, ChatGPT, Claude, AI crawlers, structured data, search indexing, schema, and AI communications themselves, we are building the infrastructure once and making it available to our members.
HERE IS WHAT WE ARE IMPLEMENTING:
🔎 AI-READY PUBLIC BUSINESS PROFILES
Participating businesses will have public DealMate profiles designed to clearly communicate their services, service areas, contact information, availability, and other important business information to search engines and AI systems.
📍 SEARCH ENGINE INDEXING
We are structuring DealMate business profiles so search engines can discover, crawl, understand, and index participating businesses.
🤖 AI SEARCH ACCESSIBILITY
We are preparing our infrastructure so AI search technologies, including systems used by platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude, can access public DealMate business information when appropriate.
🏷️ STRUCTURED BUSINESS DATA
Business information will be organized using machine-readable structured data so search engines can better understand what a company does, where it operates, and how customers can contact it.
⚡ AVAILABLE TODAY
DealMate businesses can already tell us when they are AVAILABLE TODAY.
That information can be reflected on their public DealMate profile.
This gives search engines and AI systems access to something many traditional business websites do not provide:
CURRENT AVAILABILITY.
📞 AI-READY BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS
We are also developing AI-assisted business communications that can answer common questions using the information contained in each business’s DealMate profile.
This becomes increasingly important as AI systems begin contacting businesses on behalf of consumers.
And here is the best part:
WE ARE PROVIDING THIS TO OUR BUSINESS COMMUNITY AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
This is quickly becoming an industry of its own.
You may hear terms such as:
Generative Engine Optimization, or GEO
Answer Engine Optimization, or AEO
AI Search Optimization
AI SEO
Businesses are beginning to pay real money to prepare for this transition.
For example, WebFX reports that generative engine optimization services for small businesses can range from approximately $1,500 to $5,000 per month depending on scope.
WebFX also markets AI Search Optimization services beginning around $3,000 per month.
Traditional local SEO services can also cost hundreds or thousands of dollars per month.
BrightLocal currently lists its fully managed local SEO service at $1,299 per month per location.
We are not saying every DealMate business would otherwise need to purchase one of these full agency packages. Those services can include considerably more than what we are building.
The point is simple:
BUSINESSES ARE NOW PAYING TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.
Our members should not each have to solve it alone.
DealMate’s goal is simple:
YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS.
WE WORK ON MAKING SURE THE NEXT GENERATION OF CUSTOMERS AND AI-POWERED SEARCH CAN FIND, UNDERSTAND, AND REACH YOU.
The Internet changed how customers found businesses.
Mobile changed it again.
Google changed it again.
AI is changing it again right now.
We intend to make sure the businesses in our community are not left behind.
