🌳 When’s the Best Time to Have Your Trees Inspected?

Right now before nature decides for you!

In Georgia, mid-summer to early fall is prime time for a professional tree inspection. Here’s why:
🍂 Leaves are still on the trees, making it easier to spot signs of stress or disease
🌩️ Storm season is here—better safe than sorry
🪓💰 Early inspections can prevent costly emergency removals later

Whether it’s dead limbs, decay, or roots that are too close to home, our team is here to keep your yard safe, healthy, and storm-ready.

🤔Hmmm…if this were to be a real thing, what are your thoughts?

Scientists at ETH Zurich have unlocked a glowing breakthrough literally by infusing wood with bioluminescent fungi to create a natural, light-emitting material. Using honey fungus, which glows green in the dark, they engineered a biodegradable wood-fungi hybrid that lights up without electricity or batteries. This living material offers a soft, ambient glow perfect for parks, pathways, and off-grid spaces merging sustainability with innovation. As cities seek eco-friendly solutions to reduce energy use and light pollution, this discovery signals a bold new era of biodesign where nature lights the way quietly, beautifully, and power-free.

Day 5 of our Summer Storm Series, understanding the impact storms can have on your trees in the summer.

Other factors: factors like the tree’s species, health and the specific storm conditions (wind speed, soil moisture) also play a significant role in whether a tree will fall.

If you’re concerned about the health of your trees or would like more information about this topic, give us a call! ☎️ 404-720-8128.

Day 4 of our Summer Storm Series, understanding the impact storms can have on your trees in the summer.

Root system: While a larger canopy increases wind resistance, the root system needs to be strong enough to anchor the tree. If the root system is compromised (e.g. shallow roots, soil saturation), the tree is more likely to fall, regardless of the canopy size. This is why we see so many more trees falling after several days of heavy rain.

See you tomorrow for our final contributing factor!

Day 3 of our Summer Storm Series, understanding the impact storms can have on your trees in the summer.

Canopy Failure: trees with large canopies are more prone to canopy failure (branches breaking off) during storms, which can weaken the overall structure of the tree, increase the risk of it falling, cause improper canopy balance, and be an opening for pests, diseases, & Infection. These hung branches can be a huge threat to people, animals, and your property.

Day 2 of our Summer Storm Series, understanding the impact storms can have on your trees in the summer.

Height and leverage: taller trees with more canopy mass have a longer “lever arm” that increases the force at the base of the tree when the wind blows, making them more likely to uproot. We have seen this cause many trees to uproot over the years, especially when many nearby trees are removed, completely taking away the wind barrier from the trees that are left standing.

See you tomorrow for our next contributing factor!
