Our youngest associate (6.5 y.o.) keeps asking, "ready?" with no context. I'm never sure how to respond to her.
If I say yes, I'm not sure what I'm agreeing to. Painting nails? Costume dance party? Bouncy house? Ice Cream for dinner? If I say no, she may feel disappointed or disrespected even though her request wasn't clear to me.
I realized this can be a lot like the client-architect relationship. Without thorough communication of expectations in the context of the project (and the signed contract - because you always have a signed contract, right?) it can be like asking, "ready?" without any further explanation.
Have any of you had this experience on a project? How was the situation resolved?
