We thank the FBI for the increased scrutiny in the Highland Lakes, and Especially Horseshoe Bay. We have had 2 of our customers that we were able to stop the scam with the help of the Horseshoe Bay Police Department.

The probe resulted in the arrest and conviction of five India-based telemarketing fraudsters (identified as Sahil Narang, Chirag Sachdeva, Abrar Anjum, Manish Kumar, and Jagmeet Singh Virk), as well as a former employee of the telecommunications routing company they utilized.

US Executives Convicted:
Two senior American executives—Adam Young (Miami) and Harrison Gevirtz (Las Vegas)—pleaded guilty to federal charges. They operated a call-tracking company called Ringba, which provided telecom services to the callers while knowingly turning a blind eye to the fraud.

The Tactics: Scammers used deceptive computer pop-up messages warning victims that their systems were infected with malware, tricking them into calling a fake helpline where they were coerced into paying thousands for sham technical services.

This investigation led by the FBI Baltimore Field Office also included the Montgomery County Maryland Police Department and the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office, India's Central Bureau of Investigation shut down three call centers and made a total of six arrests.

We rolled up on a Red Garage Door company today trying to sell a 27 year old young lady a $2000 residential garage door opener. Don't fall for the $30 a month payment trap.

We were able to educate the customer on fair pricing. She also did not need a new opener, we reprogrammed the remotes to make the opener operational again.

Watch out for each other, if something seems crazy, check it out.

Garage Door openers are between $489 and $789. $1200 if you want a wall mount style. That is installed, and servicing your door out at no additional charge.

Normal steel non insulated garage doors 16 x 7 are around $1750 installed. If someone tells you that a non insulated plane Jane door is $5000+ and they will finance it for you be wary.
