With the World Series starting tonight, I’m thinking of you boy moms out there whose sons have an insane amount of baseball hats like mine. 

Our son’s hat collection deserved a home, and this DIY turned clutter into something cool. It’s one of those little projects that makes a big difference.

I’m always trying to figure out how function combines with personality and this project is the perfect example. A simple board, hooks, and paint can go a long way.

I tell my clients: lighting is the fastest, cheapest way to make a rehab look expensive and elevated. These are the fixtures I actually use in our houses — the ones I keep coming back to because they make an old home feel brand new.

To all the haters, I’ll say it a little bit louder: “You’re doing great honey!” 😅

And yes, that's actual fire damage you're looking at. This is what "we buy the worst house on the street" really looks like. Paul's in there every day earning his keep and I'm doing what I do best: designing and documenting. 👷‍♀️

This week we’re focused on our 17th rehab. Paul is framing the second floor, and I am picking out siding. If you follow along you just may get to share your favorite color. 👀
