We installed this paver patio to create a cleaner, more usable area around the screened-in porch and deck. The herringbone pattern, picture-frame border, and clean edges help tie the whole backyard together.

A project like this is built long before the final pavers go in.

This front entry and raised patio area has multiple elevations, curved wall work, large-format pavers, steps, drainage considerations, and a lot of layout details that all have to tie back into the house cleanly.

The part most people never see is the prep — excavation, fabric, base, grading, compaction, layout, and geogrid reinforcement throughout the wall and paver base to help lock everything together for long-term stability.

Every curve, transition, and elevation change has to be thought through before the finished product comes together.
