Work is underway at Linda Griffin Elementary in Garland, where Venus Construction is installing a comprehensive package of public and private utility infrastructure to support the campus. The project includes water, sanitary sewer, fire line, storm drainage, pavement restoration, and landscape drainage improvements.
Scope includes:
🚰 Public Water
✅ 8", 6", and 4" C-900 water lines
✅ Cut-in connections to the existing 8" water line
✅ Fire hydrant, gate valves, meter, and vault
✅ Pavement removal and replacement
🚽 Public Sewer
✅ 74 LF of 6" SDR-26 sewer line
✅ Connection to the existing sanitary sewer manhole
✅ Pavement restoration and traffic control
⛈️ Off-Site Storm Drain
✅ 684 LF of reinforced concrete box and storm pipe ranging from 18" to 36"
✅ Precast curb inlet and cast-in-place junction boxes
✅ Connections to existing storm infrastructure
✅ Existing sewer encasement and storm drain demolition
🚒 Fire Line
✅ 248 LF of 8" fire service
✅ 178 LF of 6" FDC line
✅ Fire risers and fire department connection
🚰 Private Water
✅ 157 LF of 4" C-900 domestic water line
✅ Ductile iron fittings, bends, and cap
🚽 Private Sewer
✅ More than 1,160 LF of 4" and 6" SDR-26 sewer line
✅ Six precast sanitary sewer manholes
✅ Eight cleanouts
✅ Associated wyes, reducers, bends, caps, and fittings
⛈️ Private Storm Drain
✅ More than 2,190 LF of reinforced concrete pipe ranging from 12" to 30"
✅ Precast curb and grate inlets
🌳 Landscape & Roof Drainage
✅ Nearly 2,200 LF of HDPE and PVC drainage pipe
✅ 32 precast catch basins
✅ Associated fittings, adapters, and connections
