This transformation took a year of our weekends.

At the time, I was working my day job during the week, then Emily and I spent most weekends working on this house.

We ate plenty of meals here, made a little kitty friend, tested our patience — and probably tested each other’s patience a few times too.

Overall- we cared about getting it right.

We rebuilt the decks, painted the entire house inside and out, updated the kitchen and bathrooms, poured a new driveway, and tackled countless repairs along the way.

A lot of life happened between these before-and-after photos.

We’re proud of how this one turned out.

Kavanagh contracting led the way with this one a couple years ago back in 2024. Thankful to have been a big part of this Remodel.

Still one of my favorite transformations.

We completely changed the layout of this bathroom. Knocked down some walls, and built a massive wet room.

The customer certainly got the luxury feel she was looking for.

From cramped, outdated, and dim → modern, bright, and spacious.

For this home in South Fort Worth, we had to relocate quite a bit of plumbing on this one to gain the room we needed for a larger shower, but the end result was absolutely worth it.

A bigger walk-in shower, frameless glass, better lighting, and a much cleaner layout completely changed the feel of this bathroom.

Always good working with Galacticglass on the frameless glass.

These moments are what define a business or a person.
What do you do when things go wrong?

Do you make the easy choice or the hard one?

The little decisions add up.

We destroyed this Perfectly good shower.

At least it looks perfect....

This customer bought a new house, thought he got a good price, until he went to use the shower.

It looked great, so what could go wrong right?

Except, every time he used the shower, his entire bedroom floor and bathroom floor would FLOOD.

The Flippers he bought the house from remodeled the shower.... but chose to save some money by skipping the waterproofing..

Many think tile is waterproof, looks pretty tight right?

Many tiles are not waterproof, not to mention, the grout between the tiles are rarely ever waterproof, they are actually porous.

So most showers, usable ones at least, have a thick waterproof membrane at the bottom 6 inches or so that prevents water from going into your bedroom...

This customer desperately needed to take dominion, to take control over his space, and he did exactly that.

Now he can shower in peace.

This rotten wood wasn't even holding up the patio anymore. 😬

Rock Solid now with some flair. If you can't tell, we love cedar.

Under that gorgeous trim around the base, the structural post is held off the ground with a Simpson post saver so this can never happen again. Built to last.
