HUMMINGBIRDS! It's time, to put that hummingbird feeder out. They travel 1400 miles to migrate back each year. They remember every feeder, they come back to the same spot. I have Robins (they winter here, I feed them mealworms in the winter), Tree Frogs (I have a fountain and birdbath they love), Hummingbirds: that come back every year because I take good care of them.
What does it mean to take good care of them: 1. Put the hummingbird feeder up early as they have a LONG journey coming back to your yard. Leave them up late into the fall - till there is a hard frost (Thanksgiving), because the born that year need extra time to get big enough to make the 1400 mile journey.
2. Consider getting a feeder like below because (I have this one and love it), because it keeps the ants/bees out because of the design. https://a.co/d/0da9nZkc
3. Change out the syrup 2-3 days when it is hot. 5-7 days when it is cooler. I make up 4 cups and leave it in the frig covered. I clean them well with dishsoap. I put 1 cup in each feeder, then 2-3 days later, clean and fill up the feeder.
4. Have two feeders 10-20' apart (they are ver dominant).
5. Plant bright colored perennials that they love. Have me come plant those perennials in your yard! Where do you get those perennials in Mankato: Edenvale Nursery https://share.google/ZZWC6nAERa2EMG982
