A lot of companies post all the pretty pictures of installs and unit replacements but rarely do you see the down and dirty side of hvac. Our first priority is and should always be customer comfort and finding temporary solutions to maintain that comfort until repairs can be made. So what do you do late at night on the hottest day of the year when a fan blade snaps off and the supply house is closed? You have to put professionalism and perfection to the side and find a solution that at the least allows the customer a cool night of sleep. Im not encouraging anyone to attempt this yourself and this is definitely not industry standard but it will work until morning when the fan blade can be replaced. Few companies would admit to doing this but I highly doubt I’m the first to do it. I’m also not afraid to show the lengths we go to ( no matter how ugly) to keep homes cool.

Looks like we will be in the high 90’s next week! If you think your unit isn’t operating correctly you might want to get it checked out. Heating and Air companies are going to be swamped next week and it may be a good wait to get someone out.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Neff HVAC LLC to upgrade a 3 1/2 ton to a 4 ton Evcon. The customer had an old system and was lacking airflow to a few rooms and we were able to get those issues resolved. We installed new plenums and dampers for proper airflow balancing and another customer is ready to beat the heat!
