Speedwell Construction is a family owned commercial construction business celebrating its 32st year of success.

From the start, we were valued by our early customers for bringing excellent management resources to every job and for completing projects on time and within budget. 🎉 Congratulations to Travis on celebrating 10 years with Speedwell Construction!

While Travis is officially marking a decade on staff, his connection to Speedwell goes back much further. As part of the family behind the company, which was founded by his grandfather and uncle and later led by his father, Travis has truly grown up with Speedwell. Today, he continues that legacy as a next-generation owner and our Vice President of Construction.

After graduating from Messiah University and spending several years in the commercial construction sector, Travis joined Speedwell in 2016 as a Project Engineer. Through his dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence, he advanced to Project Manager, then Senior Project Manager, and now serves as Vice President of Construction. In this role, he oversees multiple project teams delivering both design-build and bid-spec projects.

Outside of work, Travis enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He lives in Manheim with his wife, Erika, their four daughters, Ginny, Harper, Myla, and Aria, and their Rottweiler, Mocha. The family are active members of Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church.

One of Travis's greatest strengths is his genuine connection with the Speedwell team and their families. His hands-on leadership style, servant-hearted approach, and commitment to our people have made a lasting impact over the past 10 years.

Speedwell Team members Josh Heisey, Jon Sensenig, Travis Ebersole, Mark Strunk and Pete Beers were on hand this weekend as Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church honored the donors and builders of the newly renovated Social Hall. Speedwell was honored to be included and we're looking forward to coming back for the Church's Annual Greek Food Bazaar coming up on November 7 & 8th! The social hall will be filled with amazing food that you can eat there, take out, or even drive through to pick up! Speedwell is so thankful for the strong relationships formed with our friends at AGOC!

🎉 Congratulations to Dennis on 15 years with Speedwell Construction!

Since 2011, Dennis has led our finance, accounting, IT, safety, and human resources, keeping the behind-the-scenes work running so our field and office teams can do their best work. His experience as a CFO and finance manager, along with his membership in IMA and CFMA, has helped guide Speedwell through 15 years of growth.

Away from the office, you'll find Dennis with his wife, Beth, their four children and spouses, and five grandchildren, or out on the water fly fishing.

Dennis, thank you for 15 years of dedication, steady leadership, and care for this team. We're grateful to have you!

We are excited to welcome Noe Ortega to our team of estimators!

Noe is originally from Lexington, North Carolina. After high school, he began his career in construction, where he specialized in drywall scopes. Since joining the Estimating team here at Speedwell, he says that he’s enjoyed the camaraderie and welcoming nature of his new coworkers.

Noe and his wife Amanda have recently relocated to Harrisburg with their 2-year-old son Cisco to be closer to family, and are expecting another addition to their family in January. In his leisure time, Noe enjoys playing soccer, working on his vehicle, and exploring outdoor activities such as hiking and snowboarding.

Welcome to Chris Morrison who has just joined our team in the Charlotte Office as a Senior Project Manager.

Chris was born and raised in Bridgeport, West Virginia. After graduating from Fairmont State University, he launched his career in commercial construction, building extensive experience in multifamily and mixed-use developments. Prior to joining Speedwell, Chris served as a Multifamily Project Manager with Middleburg Communities, where he managed projects in Huntsville, Alabama, and Wilmington, North Carolina. He later joined C. Herman Construction as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing the Podium and Infill developments throughout the Charlotte, North Carolina market.

Chris is excited to be part of the Speedwell team. He was drawn to the company’s family-oriented culture and collaborative approach, and he says the team has been incredible to work with. He looks forward to contributing to future projects and helping drive continued success.

Based in our Matthews, North Carolina office, Chris and his wife of 27 years, Billie, have built a life centered around family, creativity, and hard work. Billie is an elementary school teacher who hopes to become a school administrator. Together, they have two grown sons, Maddox and Palmer. Maddox works in the Defense Business Department at Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory, while Palmer is pursuing a career in investment banking.

A lifelong golfer who first picked up a club at age three, Chris enjoys spending his free time on the course. When he’s not working or golfing, he can often be found playing guitar, cooking, or tackling his latest hands-on project. From buildings and homes to custom cabinetry and furniture, Chris has a passion for building and creating, and he always seems to have a new project in the works.

We're celebrating the completion of the beautiful new building in downtown Wayne, PA that's housing the Apartments at Wayne station with retail stores below. The mixed use property is right in downtown Wayne on the corner of Lancaster and Louella and just a 5 min walk to the commuter rail line into Philly. These 1 and 2 bedroom luxury apartments feature in-suite laundry, waterfall countertops, California closets, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, off street parking in a basement garage, and a beautiful controlled access lobby. Take a look at the finished project!

Speedwell has been working on a new Mister Car Wash - this time in Muhlenberg Township, just north of Reading, PA. Mister Car Wash began in 1969 in Texas and is now the largest car wash network with over 500 locations across the U.S.

Crews have been busy prepping the site, pouring concrete and starting to frame. Follow along to see progress on this location!
