Things are progressing well on the WoodSpring Suites by Choice Hotels that Speedwell is building in Woodbridge, NJ. Siding and stucco are being applied on the exterior and interior have move on to drywall, paint, and flooring. Look for more updates this summer!

Speedwell has begun work on another hotel in the State College area! Home2Suites by Hilton will be northeast of State College, off of Shiloh road. The new property will provide 115 rooms in a 4 story building for Penn State fans and university families flocking to the area.

Jadon Burkholder is doing a summer internship with Speedwell's Estimating Department!

Jadon is originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and is currently a student at Grove City College majoring in Business Statistics and minoring in Analytics with a concentration in economics. He is also a student athlete, training and competing with the Grove City football team, the Wolverines.

While interning with the Estimating Team, he will be learning about the pre-construction process and is working on analyzing project data and exploring how AI can be used more effectively in the process. He has been enjoying Speedwell’s attention to detail and their emphasis on relationships.

Jadon belongs to a blended family that includes a mom, dad, and step-mom as well as 4 sisters and 3 brothers now! His dad, Linford Burkholder is a Senior Project Manager with Speedwell.

When not at work, he says “I am a child of God who enjoys competing in all types of games. From sports to board games, anything with strategy and competition!”

Please help us welcome Ana Nolasco to the Speedwell team as the Project Coordinator for our Charlotte, NC Office.

Ana is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but has lived in Indian Trail, NC for a good portion of her life. She is currently in school at Central Piedmont studying construction management. Before joining the Speedwell team, she worked in residential construction for 6 years.

Ana spent a week at our Manheim office training and says about Speedwell: “you can tell that relationships matter and that this is truly a team. I know I still have so much to learn, but I know I will be able to lean on everyone here.”

Ana lives with her 8-year-old daughter Vanelssa and her dog Cowboy (who’s a mix of corgi, chihuahua and dachshund.) When not working, she enjoys yoga, hiking, going to the movies, and exploring new restaurants.

Take a look at our finished project - the Everhome Suites in Somerset, New Jersey. This beautiful property is located just off of the Easton Avenue exit of Rt. 287 and is within commuter distance of New York City. The suites offer kitchens with full-size refrigerators, workstations, and a gym as well as being pet-friendly, which make them ideal for longer stays. This is Speedwell's second Everhome for Choice Hotels and we hope to work on many more!

Last Monday, Speedwell Team members Dave Morris, Pete Wittmaier, Pete Beers and owner Keith Ebersole were part of the LBC Charger Challenge Golf Tournament.

The fundraiser benefits The Community Scholarship Fund at Lancaster Bible College, which provides much-needed funding to students to help make their educational dreams possible. In fact, 99% of LBC on-campus undergraduate students benefit from the Community Scholarship Fund.

Happy Groundbreaking to Eagle Hospitality who is partnering with Speedwell to build a TownePlace Suites in Lehighton, PA!

Lehighton is in between Wilkes-Barre and Allentown, near the popular tourist spots of Jim Thorpe, Mauch Chunk Lake State Park and Blue Mountain Ski Resort. This is the second TownePlace Suites by Marriott that Speedwell has done, having just recently completed one in Pottsville, PA. Stay tuned for construction updates!
