Check out this showroom floor we recently completed for our neighbors over at Stonecraft in Tolland! We took this concrete slab from rough to refined to match the incredible work they do inside.

Here’s the breakdown of the system:

A question we hear from people building or buying new construction: can you coat a brand new garage floor? Yes, but fresh concrete needs time first. It keeps curing and releasing moisture after it is poured, even when the surface looks dry.

You may hear 28 days as a general reference, but the slab itself decides when it is ready, so it gets evaluated before it is coated. New concrete still gets full surface prep too. The upside of a new build is that you can plan the floor before the garage fills up.
