Repost Angle: Community Spotlight
Pink and purple carry powerful messages this October. ππ
Thank you to the Manchester Police Department for using its visibility in the community to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month while supporting those impacted by both.
Awareness, education, and access to resources can help SERVe individuals and families when support matters most.
October is a month of awareness, support, and action as we recognize both Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Monthβtwo important causes that impact individuals, families, and communities every day.
To recognize Breast Cancer Awareness, you may see some of our officers wearing pink patches and badges on their uniforms throughout the month. You will also see purple magnetic emblems on our patrol cruisers in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
These symbols represent more than colors. They represent support for survivors, remembrance for those we have lost, encouragement for those currently facing these challenges, and our commitment to raising awareness in our community.
π Breast Cancer Awareness reminds us of the importance of education, early detection, regular screenings, and supporting those affected by breast cancer.
π Domestic Violence Awareness reminds us that domestic violence can affect anyone, and that no one should have to live in fear or face abuse alone.
The Manchester Police Department works closely with Interval House, a valued community partner in providing support and resources to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.
