Now Hiring-Construction Estimator
CMGC Building Corp is a busy commercial construction located in Manchester NH is looking for a qualified individual to lead our estimating requirements for our firm. Our firm expects to hire the right candidate in the next 30 days. The right candidate should be current on industry trends, pricing, and inventory acquisition strategies and have a great work ethic.
Construction Estimator Job Responsibilities:
• Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
• Evaluates Sub Proposals for compliance with Bid Documentation
• Resolves cost differences by analyzing sub proposals for completeness.
• Ability to perform take-off’s accurately that conforms to bid documents.
• Develops relationships with company subcontractors during the bid process.
• Works closely with architects and other professionals.
• Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of building codes.
• Must be proficient with General Conditions requirements for commercial construction projects.
• Must be able to manage bid schedules to include all alternates, addenda, etc.….
• Must be able to write a comprehensive proposal with all back up data, to include sub bids.
Work Hours and Benefits:
This position is a full-time position (40 hours weekly) in the corporate office located at 360 Harvey Road Manchester, NH. We offer a competitive salary between 90K and 115K depending on experience level, with Health benefits, dental, eye glass, full/short term disability, and two weeks paid vacation first year. This position offers equity performance bonuses for outstanding performance on a yearly basis.
Construction Estimator Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
• Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
• Knowledge of the latest building codes.
• Close attention to detail on cost and product availability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in related field requirements, i.e.; Basic Math, English, and estimating helpful.
• Certificate in General Construction and estimating helpful
• At least [10] years of related experience is required for this position.
