Just a friendly reminder to change/clean your air filter on those heat pumps! If you have central air now is also a good time to change that air filter! They will be working the next couple days.

Also we are doing furnace/boiler and ac tune ups now! Please reach out to schedule yours! Fall is a really busy season for us! Its best to get tune ups now and know when you turn that thermostat to heat it is going to turn on and run smoothly! Our goal is to focus on emergancy service late fall through winter. We want everyone to have heat all winter!

We also service Toyotomi! We are doing cleanings/installs on those as well!

Boilers and furnaces should be cleaned yearly!

Heat pumps should be checked yearly, some may need to be cleaned yearly some may need every other year better to be checked then to be breathing in the yuck!

As always if you need us reach out to Madi 207-320-1035 and she would be happy to help you get scheduled or answer any questions you may have!

Stay cool!

We just wanted to take a minute and remind everyone it is going to be very cold the next few days.

What you need to know/do:

-Make sure you have oil or propane! We are going to be burning a lot of that the next few days.

-Have a plan for heat if yours goes out, wood stove, space heaters, etc. until someone can get there. We want to lose the least amount of heat possible.

-Run your boiler or furnace if you have it. (Make sure all the zones are working.)

-If you have drafty windows/doors it wouldn't be a bad idea to plastic wrap them. The less cold air coming in and hot air going out the better for you!

-Turn your thermostat up a few degrees (3-5 degrees) to give your house a head start before the cold.

-Once your house isn't keeping up with the call for heat if you turn up the thermostat it's not going to make it catch up.

-While supplemental heat is nice, keep the focus on your boiler or furnace, it may not be able to keep up, and that's ok.

-We want our thermostats to keep calling and keep our systems running. This is going to save you from frozen pipes! If you're running a space heater or heat pump or wood stove or whatever is running and its telling your thermostat the temp is good it's not going to run and will freeze inside the wall.

-If the baseboard is hot or the air coming through the vents is hot it is working.

-Lots of houses heating systems aren't going to meet the thermostat call and that's ok. Keep it running it will catch up when the weather warms up. Turning up your thermostats isnt going to change that.

-You can leave your faucets dripping to prevent freezing.

-I wouldn't recommend leaving your house for days without someone checking in in the morning and evening to ensure everything is ok.

If you have any questions or concerns or emergencies, you are free as always to text Madi at 207-320-1035. She is happy to help.

Stay safe and stay warm! Prepare now, once it's too cold it's too late.
