Refinishing a bathtub is always a challenge! The challenge comes when you refinish an iron bathtub with a porcelain coating. You need to be able to cut in to that porcelain without scarring it. The reason for that is to create a mechanical bond as well as your chemical bond. Here is a picture of a successful refinished job. Done by full throttle painting.
