Good morning friends! ✨️ Let me share a little love story... (apologies for how long it is)! Today I am taking a little break from gardening to share this image from our honeymoon. It is a reminder of just how lucky I was, when thirty years ago, we promised to share a life. We have done something so much more beautiful and rare, we've shared every single moment, working together, playing together, and building a beautiful life side-by-side 24/7... this is the gift I never thought possible.
Out of more than ten thousand days together, being apart for only three is a testament to our bond. It shows that our hearts don't just love each other, they belong to each other. You are my greatest teammate, biggest cheerleader, and truest friend no matter where life's journey has taken us.
Regardless of the years, my love continues to grow even deeper. You have filled my life with laughter, partnership, and romance, and that is some of the secret sauce that brought us to this incredible milestone. Cheers to thirty years, and I pray for at least thirty more!
Here's one of my original post that I believe with all my heart! It's about finding one's soulmate. I truly wish that everyone has or will have the experience of a love so complete!
Finding a soulmate is often framed as a simple stroke of fate, but when you look at the sheer mathematics of human existence, it is nothing short of a statistical miracle. We move through a world of eight billion souls, each a complex map of history, trauma, preference, and dreams. To find one person whose jagged edges perfectly slot into your own requires more than just being in the right place; it requires the stars to align across a thousand different variables, from the timing of a shared glance to the geographical coincidence of living in the same era.
True luck lies in the "near misses" we never notice, the train we caught by a second, the coffee shop we chose on a whim, or the third garden nursery we almost didn't go to that day. Every soulmate story is built on a foundation of a million different ways it could have gone wrong. We are all essentially travelers on separate, high-speed tracks, and the probability of two people not only crossing paths but also possessing the emotional maturity and mutual recognition to stop and stay is vanishingly small. It is a rare resonance, like two distinct perennials blooming out of season just to witness the other’s color.
To be truly seen and understood by another person is to win a cosmic lottery that pays out in peace rather than gold. It is easy to find company, but to find a "soulmate", that specific mirror that reflects your best self while embracing your worst, is an anomaly in a chaotic universe. When you find that person, you aren't just looking at a partner... you are looking at the result of an impossible series of fortunate events.
