We entered our float in the wild rice days parade on August 15th in Mahnomen. We had a great time getting it set up and giving candy to all the kids. We choose a theme of butterflies 🦋 this year. (Could you tell? 😆) We won 1st place in the parade. Yahoo! 😁 So much fun was had by all.

Garden club headed to the Grandforks horticultural society garden tour and plant sale hosted by the Myra museum on 7/25. It was so nice to see other lovely gardens and get ideas for our own. We stayed cool with lots of water and lingering in the shade when we found it. A great time had by all and highly recommended! 😁

The Mahnomen County Garden Club is proud to present $500 scholarships for the first time this year to two outstanding graduating seniors: Marcus Noll and Brody Lhotka. May this be just the beginning of many more achievements in their journey.

Today is the day! Come and get some lovely plants and scrumptious treats. We're located at the back of the fire hall. We'll be open from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Our Plant and Bake Sale is now less than a week away! Our gardeners are busy preparing plants (in this stormy weather) and our bakers are getting ready to bake up a storm!

This year’s Door Prize shown here has a red, white and blue theme to celebrate our country’s 250th anniversary. The lucky winner will be drawn at 6:00 pm on the 21st, at the end of the sale. Good luck to everyone!

Last Monday the Garden Club had the wonderful opportunity to tour some local residence's gardens. We had such a good time, and found so much inspiration around every corner. We would like to thank these homeowners (Kathy Dyrdahl, Peggy Steinmetz and her son Scott Steinmetz) for welcoming us into your beautiful sanctuaries. You were delightful answering our many questions and indulging our curiosity. Thank you so much!

We had such a good time at Waubun Days last Saturday. Our float theme was Mother Nature and her Garden Fairies. Betty Schoenborn made a GREAT Mother Nature!

We want to thank the parade committee for awarding us 1st Prize again this year and to congratulate the other float winners!

Mother Nature and her Garden Fairys are getting our float ready for the Waubun Days Parade this Saturday at noon. Come watch the parade and enjoy the Waubun Days festivities.

The Mahnomen County Fair starts tomorrow 6/27/2025 through 6/28/2025. The Mahnomen County Garden Club has setup a display in the Open Class building. We encourage everyone to come see the fair entries in Open Class and in the 4H building and support our local 4H and the Fair!
