Check out this feature in the Green Bay Press-Gazette highlighting the transformation of the former Abbey Bar into a new food & drink concept for One Barrel Brewing Company owners Peter and Jennifer Gentry.

Aro Eberle provided exterior and interior design services for the project, which will become a new hospitality destination for One Barrel Brewing Co. and Jennifer’s wine bar.

This project has been an exciting opportunity to work within an existing space, understand its character and challenges, and thoughtfully reimagine it for a new purpose.

We’re proud to be part of bringing this next chapter to life in De Pere.

Employee Spotlight!

Lindsay joined Aro Eberle Architects two years ago as an architect, bringing over 10 years of experience to our team.

As one of our architects, Lindsay combines technical expertise with an in-depth attention to detail to help bring projects from concept through construction. From developing plans and coordinating with consultants to reviewing drawings and resolving complex challenges, she helps ensure every element is thoughtfully coordinated and executed.

When she's not reviewing plans, Lindsay puts those same meticulous skills to work creating beautifully decorated sugar cookies. Her attention to detail doesn't stop at architecture, it makes for some pretty sweet creations, too!

The Orchard Restaurant is a farm-to-table gastropub in Verona, WI, inspired by The Cider Farm’s 166-acre organic orchard, which is rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability, and community.

The space is an invitation to explore, with layered experiences that unfold around a central bar inspired by the form of orchard trees. Warm materials, subtle textures, and natural tones evoke the essence of an orchard, creating a welcoming and immersive environment. This project brings the story and spirit of the farm to life for every guest.

We’re proud to announce that Ancora Café + Bakery was awarded an honorable mention in the Food + Beverage category by IIDA-Wisconsin at our recent industry design awards!

We greatly value our continued collaboration with Ancora and enjoyed bringing this drive-thru concept to a rapidly growing neighborhood. This space delivers Ancora’s signature blend of caffeine, community, and comfort in a smaller footprint without compromising experience.

From carefully balancing back-of-house efficiency with front-of-house warmth, every inch was intentionally planned. Even the fine points like custom ADA grab bars reflect our belief that great design lives in the details.

We are thrilled to announce new leadership at Aro Eberle Architects!

Diana Davis has been named President, following 17 years of successful firm growth and leadership by Matt Aro. Shannon Miller has joined the shareholder team, reflecting her meaningful impact and crucial contributions to the firm.
While Matt is stepping down from his leadership role, he will remain an integral part of the team, focusing on project work and business development. Diana leads with fresh perspective and significant experience fostering strong client relationships, solving complex problems, and building consensus across teams.

“I’ve had the opportunity to grow within this firm alongside an exceptional team, and I’m honored to step into the role of President. I’m grateful to work with people who care deeply about one another, our clients, and the project quality we deliver. I look forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead,” says Davis.

Since joining the firm in 2013, Shannon has become known for her project leadership, technical expertise, and desire to guide our team to create award winning design through high quality documentation. She has helped shaped Aro Eberle into what it is today, and becoming a shareholder highlights her substantial influence.
