Kristen led this kitchen remodel, including removing the wall between the kitchen and living room to create a larger, more functional kitchen. The new space is centered around a large island for meal preparation, gathering, and casual dining, surrounded by increased storage and counterspace made possible by expanding the kitchen footprint. It’s now a multifunctional space, ready to adapt to the homeowners’ evolving needs.

Curated to feel warm, timeless, and effortlessly functional, the overall design aesthetic balances simplicity with warm neutrals and natural wood tones. This grounds the space, keeping it inviting, sophisticated, and connected to its natural surroundings. Kristen seamlessly blends natural materials with clean architectural lines, down to the details, including specialized storage options, intricate gold accents, and custom glass-front cabinets.

The space is designed to be modern with timeless elements that ensure the homeowner will love their dream kitchen for years to come. An appealing monochromatic color palette provides a clean slate with an air of freshness and smart, sharp lines. The contemporary silver lighting fixtures add elegance to the space, while seamlessly matching the state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances.

Ambient, task, and accent lighting work in this kitchen to improve functionality and add interesting design elements. Under-cabinet lighting and the elegant but less common toe-kick lighting illuminate the floor and countertops increase brightness and reduce shadows on workspaces. This, in combination with windows, adds an abundance of natural light and remains connected to the natural surroundings.
