Over here at Made In The Shade, we hang the occasional tree swing, too. This one was about 35 feet up. Gorgeous old white oak. Those kids are gonna get air!

Beautiful day for pruning some dead, dangling, and worrisome branches out of this stressed silver maple. The owner requested I leave the base of the stem because he might like to decorate it.

We’re talking about removing the tree completely as it will be competing with another, healthier silver for space in not too long.

Two Black cherry trees and two hulking oak branches removed from this lot in the Dells. The owner wanted the cherries gone to make room for a few more aspens. The oak branches hung precariously over their deck. All of them were tall enough to damage the house if cut down from the ground so climbing was required to take the tops out first. The owner wanted to keep the wood and brush so I stacked it, instead of hauling it away, and gave him a discount.
