Pepsi/Bubbl’r Update🏗️: Concrete is tilted and sandblasting is in session

At Newcomb, we’ve specialized in using white concrete finished with sandblasting (shown above) to create incredibly striking designs for over 30 years.

White concrete is a premium alternative to the typical gray structural concrete. Sandblasting is a method used to expose the concrete’s aggregate, creating aesthetically pleasing textures.

The end result is a one of a kind building unique to Newcomb Construction.

➡️Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is a fast-growing company that offers hardware and software products to military and civilian clients. Newcomb built custom-shaped concrete tilt-up wall panels on site to define the exterior perimeter. Interior panels create a large collaborative space connecting the engineering and manufacturing areas.

➡️When pricing came back too high for this 5-story, Class A office building, we were asked to price it using concrete tilt-up panels. There was one condition: the overall appearance must remain as originally designed. We ultimately built this award winning building with white concrete, thin brick cast directly into the tilt-up panels, and aluminum cladding. Most importantly, we saved the owner nearly 20% in construction costs.

Take a look at what we’ve been up to in Oconomowoc!

Newcomb was recently tasked with building a new two-story corporate office for Wis-Pak, a leading manufacturer of Pepsi canned soft drink products. Wis-Pak is relocating its corporate headquarters to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and we’re excited to be part of the project.

Construction is entering the final stages, with interior finishes currently underway and final grading in progress to prepare the site for landscaping by Olson Toon.

We’re looking forward to seeing Wis-Pak move into its new headquarters this October!
