I started Energen Electric because I kept hearing the same painful stories over and over. Homeowners getting taken advantage of, left in the dark with no answers, and stuck with bills that made no sense. I knew I could do better, so four years ago I made it my mission to be the electrician people in the Downey area could actually trust.
My name is Endy Segura, and I am a local electrician who genuinely loves what he does. I started this business because I wanted to make a real difference in an industry that had let too many good people down. That still drives me every single day.
One thing I hear constantly from homeowners is that they hate being ignored. They hire a contractor and then hear nothing. No updates, no answers, just silence and stress. That is exactly why our office team uses special systems to make sure every customer stays well informed from start to finish. You should never have to wonder what is happening in your own home.
A few months back, a customer called me about half her home outlets not working. She had already hired three electricians before me. None of them could figure it out, and one of them quoted her a full rewire that would have cost a fortune. She was frustrated and honestly starting to lose hope.
I came in and took my time. I did not guess. I diagnosed the problem carefully until I tracked down exactly what was causing it. I found the issue, I fixed it, and her outlets were back on. She works from home, so getting that power restored was not just a convenience, it was everything. And she did not need that expensive rewire after all. Seeing her relief was the exact reason I started this business.
When I am not working, I am scheduling my days around what matters most, including helping my parents with everything they need, something I am really grateful I can do now. On my days off you will probably find me at the movies or at the dog beach with our 8 year old pup. And if my wife and I are treating ourselves, we are most likely at Handle's Ice Cream. I always go for the oreo cheesecake on a cake cone. Every single time.
Also, I am on a mission to find the best breakfast spot in Downey area. Any suggestions?
