We would like to take a moment to celebrate George, who recently completed his time as a CW at the JME Innovation Center and has now officially begun his journey in the field with JM Electrical as a First-Year Apprentice with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103 's Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC)!

George's path is a great example of the workforce development pipeline we've built at JM Electrical. Starting out as a CW at the Innovation Center gave him hands-on exposure to the trade and a strong foundation before stepping into the field. Now, as a first-year apprentice, he's combining classroom instruction through the JATC with real, on-the-job experience alongside our team.

Programs like the JATC apprenticeship give the next generation of electricians the training, mentorship, and opportunity they need to build long, successful careers in this trade. George's progression from CW to apprentice reflects the strength of our partnership with Local 103 and our shared commitment to developing skilled talent for the future of our industry.

In honor of National Wellness Month, JM Electrical recently hosted a weight lifting training and gym etiquette session led by our own Project Executive, Frank Kelly! 💪

Frank, who's passionate about fitness, brought his knowledge to the team as part of our quarterly wellness challenge, covering proper lifting technique, injury prevention, and etiquette for the gym. It was a great opportunity for our team to learn from a colleague, pick up some new skills, and prioritize physical wellbeing together.

At JM Electrical, we know that taking care of our team means supporting wellness both on and off the jobsite. Sessions like this reinforce our commitment to overall health, from the physical demands of the trade to long-term wellness habits that carry into everyday life.

Principal & CEO Matthew Guarracino was recently featured in New England Real Estate Journal's 2026 Industrial Review, sharing his perspective on the trends shaping our industry! 📰

Matthew discussed how automation and controls have remained a major focus in 2026, as owners look for ways to cut energy costs without sacrificing performance. He also highlighted the continued investment from colleges, universities, and hospitals in their facilities, along with growing attention on renewable technologies like EV infrastructure, battery storage, and microgrids.

One of the biggest shifts Matthew pointed to is the market's move away from more than a decade of life sciences and pharmaceutical-driven construction toward college, university, and hospital projects. All of which is work that mirrors the industry that helped build much of Boston's history in the first place. A significant portion of JM Electrical's current pipeline involves retrofit projects within these sectors, playing to the strengths we've built over years of working in complex, occupied environments.

Matthew also addressed the broader economic pressures facing the Boston market, from elevated vacancies to interest rates and policy factors influencing where developers choose to invest. As he notes, keeping Boston competitive will require addressing these bigger economic and policy challenges together.

Our annual Summer Outing at The Tall Ship Boston was one for the books! ⚓

The whole JM Electrical crew came together for an afternoon overlooking Boston Harbor, with plenty of good food and good company. Looking out at the skyline, it's hard not to notice how many of those buildings we've had a hand in over the years, serving as a good reminder of just how far this team has come in our 40th anniversary year.

Days like this are what make this team feel like more than just coworkers. It's a chance to catch up with people from other crews, swap stories, and just enjoy each other's company outside of work for a bit.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a great one. Here's to 40 years behind us and plenty more to celebrate as we keep building.

Flashback to a great Safety Day at the Simmons University Living and Learning Center project! 🦺⚡

JM Electrical was proud to participate in this Safety Day, hosted by General Contractor Skanska, on one of Boston's most exciting higher education projects. The Living and Learning Center, located in Boston's Longwood Medical and Academic Area, will bring together residential, dining, wellness, and community spaces into one vibrant hub for the Simmons community.

Events like this reinforce the shared commitment to safety across every trade on a jobsite. With Mark Ciavattone serving as our Foreman on this project, our team worked alongside Skanska and fellow trade partners to prioritize safety at every stage of construction.

We're proud to be part of a project that will shape the student experience at Simmons for generations to come, and grateful for the opportunity to reinforce our safety culture alongside great partners like Skanska.

Celebrating our hardworking team with stunning skyline views over Boston Harbor, overlooking many sites where we've completed projects over the years, made for a memorable experience. It was the perfect opportunity to step back from daily work and enjoy some well-earned relaxation with our team.

This annual event is a reminder of the dedicated team that makes JM Electrical the trusted name it is today. The combination of harbor views, sea breeze, and great company created a day to remember.

This month, we're proud to highlight Jeff, a Foreman whose journey with JM Electrical reflects the kind of loyalty and growth that defines our company culture.

Jeff joined JM Electrical back in 2001 as an apprentice, and over the years he's built an impressive career rooted in dedication and hands-on expertise. He spent 18 years working on the Harvard campus before stepping into a foreman role and moving on to run his own projects elsewhere. Eventually, Jeff's experience and deep familiarity with the account brought him full circle, and he returned to Harvard to manage it once again.

Today, Jeff wears another important hat as well, managing our Novartis account. His ability to lead multiple high-profile accounts speaks to the trust he's earned and the consistency he brings to every project he oversees.

Jeff's career is a great example of what it means to grow with JM Electrical. Starting as an apprentice and working his way up to foreman, all while building lasting relationships with major clients, shows the kind of long-term opportunity our company is proud to offer.

Outside of work, Jeff likes to unwind on the golf course, taking some well-earned time to relax after a busy week.

Safety starts with staying informed, and that's exactly why our team headed to the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts ' Trench Safety Roundtable! 🦺⚡

The JM Electrical team joined with industry peers and safety professionals for an important discussion on trench safety best practices, alongside the signing of an OSHA Ambassador Alliance agreement. Trench and excavation work carries serious risk, and events like this reinforce why staying current on safety protocols and regulatory standards matters for every trade, not just those working underground.

It was a great opportunity to connect with fellow subcontractors, exchange insights on hazard prevention, and reaffirm our shared commitment to sending every worker home safe at the end of the day. Conversations like these are exactly what strengthen safety culture across our industry.

What a summer for the world's game right here in Boston! ⚽🏆

As the wraps up its historic U.S. run, we're throwing it back to our Foremen's Meeting held last year at , the very same venue that spent this summer as "Boston Stadium," hosting World Cup matches on soccer's biggest global stage.

Watching Boston transform into a global stage was something special. From the energy in the stands to the excitement rippling through neighborhoods across the city, it was incredible to see our hometown make such a big impact on a truly international stage. Hosting World Cup matches brought fans, players, and energy from every corner of the globe right to our backyard.

Congratulations to Spain as well as the USMNT on an incredible tournament run and to Gillette Stadium/Boston Stadium for being an outstanding host. The pride we felt seeing our region shine on the world stage says a lot about what makes Boston such a special place to live, work, and build.
