Local Prophetstown job i finished Sunday. Late 1800s home (so cool to get my hands on such history)was a big task. 2rms and a entry. It was covered by 3 different carpets for many yrs. So it had triple the amount of staples/nails to set and fill with wood filler. 100s of staples broke off level with wood so they all had to be set before sanding. Crazy amount of hand scraping and sanding around boiler heaters. Then stained it a Aged Bourbon and applied 3 coats of oil base poly. Looks so much better in person, them grains were popping 👀

The hardest thing i refinish is stairs. They are a lot of hard grinding hand sanding n scraping. I enjoy doing them because they are usually the focal point when you enter a home. They tie in the up n downstairs. Sanded n stainded these to go with woodwork.

Edger is working me hard today. Had several carpets on it for mamy yrs. When carpet is on them the old coating turns to a soft state. Like sanding molasses cloggs up sanding pads like nothing. Love the pattern on this old 1800s home.
