Last month I had an incredible opportunity to buy Colton Hallgren’s established landscaping business, Hallgren Lawn and Landscape. I was impressed with how he had grown his company and wanted to take my existing business in a similar direction. I couldn’t pass the deal up. We shook hands and closed on the sale a couple of weeks later. The transition has been absolutely seamless, I couldn’t have asked for better.

While Colton may be stepping back, the same quality and integrity can be expected moving forward. Robert and most of the crew have stayed with the transition and we are continuing with previously booked jobs while adding new projects to our schedule every week.

We offer professional landscape designs and installs, which include flower beds, decorative rock, irrigation, lighting, pergolas, hardscaping, outdoor paver patios, retaining walls, sod, koi ponds, water features, and much more.

With the purchase of the business and expansion of services, rebranding was needed and I decided to bring Hallgren Lawn and Landscape and The Yard Guy under one new name, Hogelin Lawn and Landscape. This will be the account where all projects are posted, along with updates.

We offer grass seeding and fertilization in addition to our regular property maintenance. Here’s a look at a fresh start we gave this lawn last fall.

What was done?

-Weeds were sprayed in preparation of new seed

-A load of topsoil was added

-Grass seed was raked and watered into fresh topsoil

-Starter Fertilizer was applied

-Watered daily until germination and as needed the remainder of growing season. The key to success.

-Push mow only

Fall is the ideal time to reseed a lawn, but if you don’t need an overhaul, spring is great for light over seeding. Now is also the time for pre emergent, so give me a call for a quote today!
