John and Rachelle couldn’t be more happy with their new kitchen! When they came to us, John had dates their previous kitchen at about 30 years. Exact age unknown since they bought the home and raised two boys in it.
Some of their parameters were that they wanted pantry storage since they had been using a coat closet for kitchen overflow. We solved this by including 2 large pantries with pullouts on either side of the fridge.
They wanted functionality because the earlier set up only utilized 3 of the 4 walls in the kitchen. Adding more counter space, bumping the oven to the other side of the room, and using a corner sink cabinet really completed the kitchen triangle.
Another feature- and one that took some coordination - was incorporating their already beautiful backyard. We did this by lowering the window opening to meet the countertop to bring in additional light and breakdown as much separation as we could.
