All of the concrete for the Sibley Avenue sidewalk has now been poured.
This photo shows the crossing toward Westfield Street, where a raised crosswalk will be installed. Closer to Westfield Street, there will also be a speed hump to help reduce speeds.
Prior to construction, our DPW conducted a speed study in this area and found speeds exceeding 50 mph along this stretch, which is why these additional traffic calming measures are being added. Projects like this are designed not just to improve infrastructure, but to make our roads safer for everyone. 
Great to see this phase completed by our contractor, Caracas Construction. Looking forward to more progress as construction season continues—more updates soon.
