Ever wonder why a perfectly good handrail suddenly starts leaning out of nowhere? Sometimes the culprit is hiding right beneath the surface!

🔍 The Problem & The Process
A stubborn tree root managed to grow right behind the end post, wedging itself tightly between the post and the brick stairs. Over time, that root pressure forced the entire end post to lean completely over.

To fix it right and ensure it won't happen again, we didn't just slap a patch on it:

The Dig: We excavated the post and removed all of the old, broken concrete footing.

The Extraction: We cut out the intrusive roots entirely to clear the way.

The Replacement: We dropped in a brand-new, heavy-duty 4x4 treated lumber post.

The Pour: We poured fresh concrete to permanently set the post back to plumb.

Note: If you notice the neon ratchet strap that was just our temporary trick to make sure the post stayed absolutely perfect and immobile overnight while the new concrete cured!

We are currently on-site putting the finishing touches on this newly built home. Our team has rolled out a massive 80 squares of premium White EPDM membrane. Choosing a white rubber roof is an incredibly smart move for a flat or low-slope design—it offers the heavy-duty, puncture-resistant durability of traditional rubber roofing while reflecting away the sun's harsh heat to keep energy bills down.
