🔥 HANDY ANDY STRIKES AGAIN! 🔥

Today, a customer sent us this photo asking for a quote on a new water heater.

And, well… we think the old one has made its feelings pretty clear. 😳🔥

It appears someone may have been messing around with the electrical components who perhaps shouldn’t have been - resulting in a short and some pretty serious fire damage.

Consider this your friendly homeowner warning:
Your water heater is NOT the place for DIY electrical work or “my buddy knows how to fix those” repairs. 😬

Water heaters involve electricity or gas, high temperatures, pressure, and a whole lot of water - which is a fairly unforgiving combination when something goes wrong.

So if your water heater starts acting up:
❌ Don’t start poking around inside it
❌ Don’t let “Handy Andy” have a go
❌ Definitely don’t ignore signs of burning, melting or electrical problems
✅ Call a qualified professional

Sometimes saving a few bucks on a repair can turn into needing a whole new water heater… and potentially a whole lot more. 🔥🏠

Over the last six months, Leaky’s has been partnering with local churches through our Church Partnership Program.

At the end of every service call, we ask our customers to name their place of worship, and Leaky’s donates 3% of that service call directly to the church they choose.

But we don’t just want to tell you where those donations are going. We want to show you the incredible work these ministries are doing right here in our community.

This is Open Door.

We had the privilege of joining them for their Open Door Open House and getting a closer look at how they’re creating community, opportunity, and restoration for people experiencing poverty, homelessness, and s*x trafficking in Lubbock.

You supported us. That helped us support them. And now we want you to see the difference they’re making. ❤️

Turns out, showing up, telling the truth, fixing what actually needs fixing, and NOT trying to sell people things they don't need is a pretty good way to make friends. Who knew? 🤷‍♂️🔧

Well… San Antonio got one of our trucks.

One of our Leaky’s technicians was hit by an uninsured driver.

Police showed up, issued the driver a ticket, and while we were trying to get the information we needed, He literally started to leave. He fled. You can’t make this stuff up.

Now we’ve got a damaged truck, an uninsured driver, and a technician with one heck of a story.

Thankfully, our technician is okay.

The truck, however, has officially had a worse week than the rest of us.

At this point, owning Leaky’s service vehicles is starting to feel like its own extreme sport.
