We are proud to announce AMD Engineering’s newest Firm Associates!
Please join us in congratulating Tyler Apple, Nathin Flemins, Blake DeVaney, and Trace Skinner on this well-deserved achievement!

Tyler Apple brings more than 17 years of experience in civil engineering. Tyler started with AMD as an intern in the summer of 2009 and has progressed in her career as a Professional Engineer and a trusted adviser to many of our multifamily and commercial clients.

Nathin Flemins has 7 years of experience in civil engineering. Nathin began his career right here at AMD and has continued to grow and develop as a Professional Engineer and the leader of our residential development team.

Blake DeVaney brings more than 6 years of experience in land surveying. Blake started with AMD in the field and has turned that hands-on experience and expertise into tremendous professional growth, including achieving his Registered Professional Land Surveying license.

Trace Skinner has been part of the AMD team for more than 8 years. Trace began his career with us in the field and has steadily advanced, becoming an invaluable part of our Surveying Department. Trace has been our Chief of Crews for 6 years and manages all of AMD’s field surveying services.

We are incredibly proud to see these four individuals reach this milestone. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to growing their careers at AMD are truly something to celebrate!

We’re Hiring! | CAD Drafter, Civil EIT, & Licensed Civil Engineer
Our growing civil engineering and surveying firm in Lubbock, Texas is looking to add talented professionals to our team. We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

CAD Drafter (Surveying and/or Engineering)
Responsibilities may include:
▪️ Preparing survey plats, exhibits, and civil engineering drawings
▪️ Coordinating with survey crews and engineering staff
▪️ Maintaining CAD standards and file organization
Qualifications:
▪️ Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
▪️ Survey or civil drafting experience preferred
▪️ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
Responsibilities may include:
▪️ Assisting with site development design (grading, drainage, utilities)
▪️ Preparing construction plans and technical exhibits
▪️ Supporting senior engineers and project managers
Qualifications:
▪️ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (from ABET accredited university)
▪️ EIT certification (or ability to obtain)
▪️ Experience with Civil 3D preferred
▪️ Strong communication and teamwork skills

Licensed Civil Engineer (PE)
Responsibilities may include:
▪️ Leading site development and infrastructure projects
▪️ Preparing and reviewing engineering plans and reports
▪️ Coordinating with clients and participating in municipal review meetings
▪️ Mentoring junior staff and overseeing design work
Qualifications:
▪️ Texas PE license (or ability to obtain through reciprocity)
▪️ Experience in land development and municipal projects
▪️ Strong project management and leadership skills
