We've made it through a scorching Summer, but Winter will be here before you know it! Help us help our neighbors and donate to our annual KSSL Cares Food and Coat Drive.
Gather up new or gently used coats and non-perishible food and keep listening to KSSL to find out when and where we'll be.
Donations can also be dropped of at the KSSL Studios in Slaton if you can't make it to one of our remote broadcasts.

Today, Xavi received his second Amtryke after outgrowing his first one, and we couldn't be more excited for him!

Xavi loves being outside, feeling the sunshine, listening to upbeat music, and enjoying all his favorite foods. As an adult with autism and seizures who is non-verbal, having the right adaptive equipment helps him experience the freedom, independence, and pure happiness that everyone deserves.

His first Amtryke brought so many smiles, adventures, and opportunities to explore the world around him. Now, with his new tryke, Xavi is ready for even more rides, more fresh air, and more moments doing what he loves most.

A special thank you to Commercial Electric for sponsoring Xavi's newest Amtryke! We are so blessed to have your support.

Receiving her new Amtryke was a special day for sweet Gentry. At 20 years old, she faces severe seizures every single day, along with challenges in balance and independent mobility. Life hasn’t been easy for her or her family… but when she received her tryke, something beautiful happened.

As soon as she got on her new Amtryke, her mom said she laughed for the first time in a long time. That sound — that joy — filled the whole room.

This Amtryke is freedom. It’s movement. It’s confidence. It’s a chance for Princess G to experience the world in a way her body doesn’t always allow. And seeing her light up reminded all of us why these moments matter so much.

Xcel Energy says they are preparing for strong winds in Texas and New Mexico on Feb. 17, which may cause power outages and increase wildfire risk. Xcel is looking at possibly conducting a Public Safety Power Shutoff to reduce risk!
If Xcel performs these actions it’s to help prevent wildfires, be prepared for these possible shut offs as far as food in the fridge and other items in the house.
