🚨 **BUYING A HOUSE? PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU CLOSE.**
Over the last several weeks, we've had multiple customers call us **after purchasing a home** because they were told a flooring issue could be repaired.
Then we get there.
And unfortunately, what they were told isn't always possible.
A damaged board in the middle of a floor may *look* like a simple repair. But is the flooring still manufactured? Can we get the same color, size and locking system? Is it glued, nailed or floating? Can we physically get to the damaged area without taking apart half the house? And even if we *can* repair it — **should we?**
Those answers can mean the difference between a relatively inexpensive repair and replacing thousands of dollars worth of flooring.
Home inspectors and Realtors have an important job, but **flooring is our job.** If there's a flooring concern during an inspection, don't rely on someone's best guess about whether it can be fixed or what it might cost.
Get a flooring professional involved **before you close.**
We would much rather walk a house with you and tell you, *“Yep, that's fixable,”* than meet you after closing and have to tell you the bad news.
A second opinion costs a whole lot less than finding out they were wrong.
