One thing our crew accounts for on every storm call: debris resting on a power line isn't a tree job until the utility clears it. It doesn't matter how simple the limb looks to move - a line that's been under load from fallen debris can be live or damaged in ways that aren't visible.

We flag it, call it in, and hold the site until it's confirmed safe, then get to work.

Call 251-929-4889 or visit https://ascenttreeworks.com if you've got storm debris on your property and you're not sure what's safe to touch.

Homeowners in Olde Towne Daphne, Lake Forest, and the new builds off County Road 13 keep calling us back for one reason: we treat every yard like it's ours.

Our tree trimming process starts with listening, then we inspect health and structure before planning cuts that thin the canopy, raise clearance, or reduce spread while keeping the tree's natural shape. Live oaks, pines, crepe myrtles, magnolias, and palms all respond differently to pruning, and our crew adjusts the approach for what each species actually needs.

Reach us at ascenttreeworks.com/services/tree-trimming or 251-929-4889 to schedule your on-site visit.

A professional hazard assessment isn't a glance and a guess. Our process follows the same structure taught in ISA's Tree Risk Assessment framework: a ground and canopy survey first, then a close look at root plate condition and any lean, then testing for internal decay and structural load before a risk rating ever gets assigned.

That rating is what turns into an actual plan, whether that's monitoring, pruning, or removal, rather than a one-word verdict with nothing behind it.

Visit https://ascenttreeworks.com or call 251-929-4889 to get a tree properly assessed before hurricane season makes the decision for you.

Trees growing close to your house and porch leave no room for a guess, only for a crew that knows exactly where each cut and each drop is going.

"Ascent Tree Works removed 4 trees and pruned 3 other trees, all of which were very close to our house and porch. The entire crew was polite, friendly and professional. The owner responded within a day to provide a quote." - Nina M.

Clearing storm debris yourself feels like the fast, cheap option, right up until it isn't. The CDC tracks roughly 36,000 emergency-room chainsaw injuries a year, and specifically calls out that risk as higher after hurricanes and other disasters, when saws are being used on trees and limbs already under unpredictable tension.

A leaning or storm-stressed tree stores energy in ways that aren't obvious from the ground, which is exactly the kind of read a trained crew is making before the first cut.

Skip the guesswork and call 251-929-4889 - we handle the tension, the timing, and the cleanup so you don't have to guess.

Storms along Mobile Bay don't ask permission, and low-lying yards in Foley are some of the first to show it.

When a storm rolls through, our crew clears, sorts, loads, and hauls every bit of it: fallen limbs, uprooted shrubs, storm-damaged brush, and the pine straw and leaf mats that trap water in low spots. Equipment stays off delicate grass and irrigation, driveways get protected staging, and we sweep hard surfaces at the end so your property actually looks finished.

Most cleanups are done in a single visit, with prompt appointments that fit your week.

A hurricane doesn't need to be a monster storm to take trees down. NOAA's Saffir-Simpson scale puts Category 1 winds at 74 to 95 mph, and even at that level the official damage description is blunt: large branches snap and shallow-rooted trees can topple outright. Category 3 and up, that becomes many trees snapped or uprooted, blocking numerous roads.

Root depth and structure matter more than most people expect once wind gets into that range, which is exactly why we look at root systems, not just canopies, during a risk assessment.

Extreme heat does not slow this crew down, not when there is a century-old oak that needs the right hands.

"Winn and his crew worked diligently thru extreme heat to not only trim a century old live oak on my mom's property but on several very large trees on her neighbor's property. Also, a large oak was removed on her neighbor's property." - Christopher T.

However big or old the tree, we are ready when you are. Visit ascenttreeworks.com or call 251-929-4889 to schedule your estimate.

After a storm passes, the damage that matters most is often the damage you can't see from the driveway. When our crew walks a property after high wind, we're checking root plates for lifting or heaving soil, looking for cracked leaders and co-dominant stems under new stress, and watching for decay hidden inside wood that looked sound before the storm.

Hanging limbs and debris resting on lines get flagged first, since those are the failures that hurt someone if they're missed.

Reach us at 251-929-4889 or https://ascenttreeworks.com for a post-storm inspection before you assume a tree came through fine.
