Yesterday I installed an indirect water heater hooked up to a boiler, this is the best option because I use stainless steel tanks that are guaranteed for life. It is powered by your boiler that you are already maintaining to supply your heat. If you don't have a boiler a standard water heater is your best bet, the high install cost of a tankless, on demand heater, coupled with higher repairs and maintenance negate the minimal fuel savings of an on demand heater...

I only solder copper pipe and fittings, I don't use press fittings because they have o rings that deteriorate over time, yesterday I replaced press fittings that were only 22 years old. This picture shows the leaking fittings, o rings do not belong in a permanent piping system...

I’m jackhammering up a cement floor to replace a cast iron kitchen sink drain that has clogged numerous times over the years. This is hard, dirty work, but it’s very rewarding, I doubt this drain will ever clog again…

I love Radiant Heating because my customers love it! The comfort of Radiant floors is unmatched. This video shows the installation of the Radiant manifold, that takes hot water from the boiler, and distributes it to various sections of flooring throughout the home. I can heat your floors, ceilings, walls, granite countertops, bathtubs, showers, closets and oak stairways. Radiant Heating is typically supplied by a gas or oil boiler, but I’m working on a job now where we will heat a large floor using a wood boiler. An even more exciting application will be the new, air to water heat pumps that, very efficiently, use electricity to heat your floors. Solar panels on the roof are a perfect match for these super efficient heat pumps. I’ll be installing an air to water heat pump soon in my own home. Stay tuned!…
