Here is a little Utility sink update. We had to rework the plumbing a little bit to accommodate the new style sink. No problem here at Benchmark Plumbing. Customer will have the wall fix by a contractor at a later date we got everything hooked up and functional for the shop. No job is to big or to small just give us a call 🙌🏻

Tankless water heater was throwing an ignition code. Customer was out of hot water for a few days. After diagnosing the issues and talking with technical support was able to identify that the condensation line was installed incorrectly. By another company and the secondary heat exchanger was full of condensation and not allowing the unit to fire we were able too clear all of the condensation out of the heat exchanger, and we also re-piped the condensation line to manufacture specifications, getting the Customer hot water by the end of the day. We will be returning to flush the unit tankless water heaters should be flushed and cleaned once a year if you are having any issues with your current tankless water heater or don’t know when the last time it was serviced, give us a call to get on the schedule 541-606-9109

Customer was told they needed to spend $1,400 to add a two way clean out so they could fix a root problem in the main sewer system. They wanted a second option. After running our camera through the vent on the roof we were able to identify and locate a pre existing two way clean out and expose it a few inches under the soil. The riser was not glued into the clean out tee so we dug it up to expose the hub that needed glued. We found the root intrusion out side of the property line and located a second clean out that was a directional clean out heading out to the city tap, approximately 3-4 feet way from the roots This other company said they were not able to fix the problem till there was a clean out on the property well we found two and they also “ran their camera from the vent” after locating the roots with our locator we got the city involved and the city said that they would come remove the roots out of the city tap and there were no charges to the customer for the city to come do that. Saved the customer over $1000 dollars and they are root free. If you need an honest second opinion don’t hesitate to call hopefully we can save you some money to.

This has been a super fun project remodeling a tub shower unit the existing tub was cracked and leaking to the down stairs. Stay tuned for the final we still have a few more things to get finished up in the morning but it is turning out super nice. /shower

Customer is selling the home and one of the issues that came up in the home inspection was the main vent stack was not long enough coming through the roof. No problem here at benchmark got into the attic and found the old lead joint on the cast iron pipe was not installed correctly. Sewer gasses where definitely leaking out into this attic space this is one of those blessings in disguise. Got the customer all taken care of and onto the next.
