WorK Architecture is a comprehensive, full-service design firm rooted in Kentucky. By focusing on client needs, we deliver design solutions that exceed expectations. We see the constraints and challenges of each situation; whether site-related, programmatic, or financial; as opportunities to create results. Our design maintains the unique spirit of each project, creating environments that function

and inspire. Our small firm works closely with members of the project team and encourages involvement in all aspects of the design; from inception to completion. An office of our size ensures that all members are involved in, and are well informed of, the project details. WorK has a history of exceeding client aesthetic and functional design expectations while meeting budget constraints. As our clients can attest, this approach is one of our greatest assets. Our experienced staff ensures that environmental responsibility is of the utmost importance in every project. We utilize local resources and incorporate site-specific solutions beginning with site studies and extending to building commissioning. This environmental approach to design results in an unparalleled combination of creativity and sustainability in our projects. Our exciting practice is led by Mitchell Kersting. With our multi-faceted design experience, we have a comprehensive understanding of current technology, methodology, and materials. Regardless of scale or project type we pay meticulous attention to detail with a fine appreciation for craftsmanship.

Welcome, Wonsun!

Wonsun brings a diverse range of experience to our team. Before moving to the United States, he worked as a Construction Project Manager in South Korea. Since then, his design experience has spanned high-end residential, winery, and ranch projects throughout Napa Valley, California. He joins our team as an Architectural Designer, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise and global perspective.

Outside of work, Wonsun enjoys skiing, gaming, photography, and visiting shooting ranges. He is highly outgoing and enjoys building connections with others. His personal motto is: “Live with gratitude for today, give your best to the present moment, and live without regrets.”
We’re excited to have Wonsun on board and look forward to the impact he’ll make.

Meet the newest addition to our ever-growing, super talented team - Sammy!

When she’s not created architectural renderings, you’ll find her tending to her thriving plant collection, exploring Renaissance fairs, gaming, or spending time with her daughter and cats.

What excites her most about architecture? The collaborative process of bringing ideas to life and creating thoughtful design that tells a story. She’s especially inspired by architecture that connects with the natural environment and looks forward to seeing the details she designs become reality.

Welcome to Work, Christian!

Originally from Auburn, Kentucky, Christian brings a passion for human-centered design and historic preservation to our team. A WKU grad, he’s inspired by the stories embedded in spaces, and how thoughtful design can carry them forward.

Outside the studio, you’ll find him playing drums, hunting for vintage treasures, exploring Louisville’s local food scene, or sipping an overpriced coffee on a walk through historic neighborhoods.

We are glad he’s here!
