Ladies and gentlemen….welcome to the Official Dainty 56 Postgame wrap up! Come experience the Dainty through the lens of Ref Jeff! This was by far my favorite Dainty to date.

So many people come together and put so much heart and hard work into this quirky neighborhood tradition every year. I’m so honored and proud to be a part of it all. From the planning committee to the preservation society to the court. It’s my favorite day of the year every year!

I’d like to give a special thanks to terry malts for lending a sneak peek into some of their new tracks off of their first full length LP in a decade titled ‘Dress to Depress’. Keep an eye out for a release date!

Until next year…

✌️ Long live the Dainty ✌️

💚💛

BIG heartfelt THANK YOU to my friends at for donating my new shop dust collection system. If you aren’t a member, then why not? Yearly subscriptions are super affordable and they have literally everything you need to finally tackle that house project that’s been hanging over you. Such an amazing concept and such an amazing group of humans.

A few weeks ago my van and tools were stolen. It’s been a huge blow.

My buddy and I will be screen printing some limited run shirts and hats to help raise money to cover some of the expenses of a new van and tools.

If you are interested in purchasing a hat or shirt to help the cause, DM me your size and quantities. If you have already replied to a story with your order, I have you down and there’s no need to do it again.

On Friday I’ll be putting in the final order. After that it’ll be too late so don’t sleep on this opportunity to own some limited edition NBD merch!

Suggested price of both shirts and hats are no less than $25.

Will deliver locally and ship wherever. (Please keep in mind shipping costs when donating)

Some of you have reached out wanting to donate without receiving any merch. Feel free to do so using any of the payment options below. Anything helps.

Payment options:
~swipe for Venmo
~credit card on line (dm for invoice)
~cash for local pick up

I really appreciate all of the love and support ya’ll have shown me throughout this mess. After this fundraiser I’ll shut up about it forever, I promise.

🙏 ,
Jeff

We wrapped up this kitchen -> living room collab with back in April. Our scope was to enlarge the entryway between the kitchen/living room, create a custom casing profile for the opening, design & build a new mantel and install new newel posts/handrails/spindles & treads.

We were able to collaborate with the extremely talented while designing the mantel & staircase. We decided on walnut as the species for the mantel as that was the same species used for the fully custom cabinet package. We decided on red oak for the steps/newel/handrails to match the floors.

If you look closely you’ll see elements of both the custom cabinets and the staircase in the mantel design. Besides the species of wood, we matched the stain and crown profile of the cabinets. The mantel legs and newel posts are nearly identical but you might not notice unless you are reading this. You’ll find trim profiles from both the cabinets and the staircase within the mantel design. It’s these subtle little details that really allow for the mantel to tie the two rooms together.

More importantly, It’s this synergy, collaboration & attention to detail that really makes this remodel one of a kind. We are lucky to be able to collaborate with such talented and professional people.

This garage had a good decking and a new roof but everything else, not so much. We gave it a facelift by sticking it up, demoing the walls, repairing the foundation, re-framing & installing new sheathing, siding and gutters. Swipe for before photos and tell us what you think in the comments!

My beloved Betty got stolen this morning along with all my tools. LMPD said they don’t actively look for stolen vehicles because there’s just too many so this is my Hail Mary. License plate: NBD. White ladder rack on top. Please share.

This has been one of our favorite kitchen remodels to date! Credit of the design goes to our savvy clients. We were able to meet their vision and budget by working together to focus on what they valued most. It’s important to think about what you hold value in when going into a remodel. Here “the look” was the upper cabinets. We were able to achieve the look within the budget by installing builder grade base cabinets and building custom uppers to match. Technically it’s a “semi-custom” cabinet package, but you’d never be able to tell it wasn’t a fully custom package without reading this post 🤫 . Swipe for the before photos.
