Spring is here! Winter storms can leave damage to your roof. Here are a few tips for getting your roof ready for spring!
1. Examine your roof. Walk around your home and look for any missing shingles, loose debris, or any signs of wear and tear.
2. Trim any overhanging branches. These can be one of the biggest dangers to your roof; in addition to shedding leaves and smaller branches, larger branches can fall on your roof and shaded, damp areas can allow mold/algae growth.
3. Clean out your gutters. Clogged gutters can cause water buildup on your roof, allowing water under your shingles and into the interior of your home.
4. Check your attic. Look for any light coming through or water stains; these are signs your roofing system may be compromised!
5. Schedule a FREE inspection! Many homeowners wait until significant damage is present to schedule an inspection. Be proactive and address any damage before it’s too serious!
