Fortunately, we don’t have to make this type of post real often, but with the possibility of significant snowfall. As you’re shoveling after the storm, please remember to clear at least 3 feet around fire hydrants and do not pile snow on or in front of them.

In an emergency, every second counts—and a buried hydrant can delay firefighters when it matters most. Taking a few extra minutes to keep hydrants accessible helps protect your home, your neighbors, and our first responders.
