Hi everyone. Megs here.
With a heavy heart, I’m announcing that houseguest is closing. I have been considering its conclusion since last fall and have decided that it’s time to call it. I am grateful for the opportunity to show so many unique projects, work with brilliant people, and meet so many from this extraordinarily welcoming community in Louisville. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without you.
The reason for the closure is simple: this is hard work–running a space. It is work that I love. That I value. That I take seriously. Since I’ve moved back from Chicago, I don’t feel I am present for artists how I’d prefer to be. And so I’d rather not do it.
Additionally, I’m working to consolidate my working methods, lowering my overall footprint. houseguest gallery will become my studio. You all are welcome anytime. Look forward to small studio parties–because I will miss the life of having you all in my home.
