This project was completed around this time last year. I had the pleasure of working with an interior designer to select materials for her kid’s bathrooms. She was a wealth of knowledge and gave me a lot of insight/advice that I’m using on current projects now. Anyway, how did they turn out?

Working with this duo was like balancing two sides of a coin. One client had a personality that could light up a room, big ideas, bold opinions, and endless energy. The other was the definition of laid back, always nodding along with a quiet “looks good to me.” Somehow, their energy worked perfectly.

They gave me full trust to come up with the layout, color palette, and tile selections, with one exception “DO NOT TOUCH THE TOILET SEAT”. We spent a solid two to three weeks fine tuning every detail, everything from wall layout to grout lines. We ended up mixing sleek 2’x4’ tiles with rich 12”x12” mosaic sheets on the walls to create visual rhythm and texture. The shower floor? A beautiful hex mosaic that tied everything together.

Since they wanted a curb less shower, getting the floor to flow seamlessly was key. That meant careful tile transitions and some extra planning to keep it sleek and safe. Once design wrapped, we waited about two more weeks for installation and let me tell you, the transformation was worth every minute.

The result? A space that’s as bold and relaxed as the clients themselves, perfectly balanced and completely custom.
