Our first inlaid table with a barrel cabinet is complete! We used a solid oak round and used walnut and hard maple to make the chessboard inlay. Table is 42" round, and the chessboard is 16 inches square with a 1 inch boarder.

We wrapped metal around the edge of the wood table to make it tie in better with the barrel.

A little while ago, a customer asked us if we could modify our 2-tiered stave shelf. He wanted it a bit narrower to fit a smaller space and also wanted to be able to hang 6 w**e glasses on the underside. We worked up a design, and he gave us the green light to move forward. Today, it's officially up and in use in Florida!

More progress was made today on the custom table with a chessboard inlay. It will eventually get placed on a barrel cabinet with a few other accessories added.

Table is made from quarter sawn oak. Inlay is made from hard maple and walnut. Inlay completed just using a tablesaw. No fancy tools needed! Just precision and planning!
